About

Welcome! I’m Jaron, a dedicated researcher and innovator passionate about biomechanics, machine learning, and wearable technology. My journey began in Trinidad and Tobago, where growing up near an industrial plant inspired my fascination with complex systems and their real-world impact.

Now, as a student at the University of Miami, I’m combining technical expertise and creative problem-solving to tackle challenges in biomechanics and medical device development. I’ve contributed to research exploring the effects of elevated BMI on knee proprioception and injury risks, with my work presented at conferences like the Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference.

Beyond research, I’m driven by a vision to innovate in medical technology. My projects include developing wearable medical devices with AI integration, creating cutting-edge calorimetry systems, and exploring how engineering can improve healthcare outcomes.

When I’m not immersed in projects or academics, I enjoy trading stocks and commodities, playing the steel pan, and mentoring peers on securing grants and research opportunities. My ultimate goal is to launch a startup that transforms wearable technology and advances industry-grade medical devices.
